Pool and Tennis Court Access

In 2022, we are transitioning to a new Gate Access System for the Pool & Tennis Courts.
All Residents will need request access as previous Pool Access Cards will no longer work.

NEW FOR 2022: ELECTRONIC GATE ACCESS

Work is being completed to provide additional security and safety in the recreation amenities throughout Silverleaf. The work includes new and additional security cameras as well as installation of self-locking gates and electronically controlled access system for the Pool and Tennis Courts. To Request Access: click here.

Why Are We Making This Change?

  • Never lose a pool key again! This new system allows keyless entry to the pool and tennis court through an app on your smartphone. Don't worry, physical key fobs* are available too (more info below).

  • State DHEC regulations requires that entry points (gates) be either guarded by a lifeguard or secured via self-locking gates. These new gates eliminate the need for a lifeguard to "stand guard" at the pool entrance, allowing them to be reassigned to keeping watch over the pool itself. This change also helps lower our overall lifeguard costs throughout the season, saving the HOA money each month.

How Does This Work?

  • Three gates will be equipped with the new self-locking gate:

    1. Main front gate at the pool

    2. Side gate near the Food Lion side of the pool

    3. Tennis court gate near the children's play area

  • A Bluetooth reader will be installed near each gate.

  • Placing your smartphone or key fob* near this reader will open the gate.

  • Each time you visit the pool or tennis courts, you scan your Smartphone
(using the Paxton App) or physical key fob*.

HOW TO GET ACCESS

Every Silverleaf Homeowner (and applicable renters) in good standing will be given Smartphone access free of charge. (All user must be over the age of 14, since children under 14 must be with an adult.) In addition, physical key fobs can be purchased for a small fee, but the easiest way to access the amenities is with the app.

SmartPhone Access

  • To request access, each resident in the household will need to submit an online request.

  • Each request must be validated by an HOA Board member (to ensure non-residents of Silverleaf are denied. Note: for the 2022 season, we'll process all gate requests once the system is operational (late April).

  • Once approved, you will receive an e-mail with instructions to finalize access. Check your spam folder!

  • The e-mail will instruct you to download the Paxton Key app, and will also include a link to register. You must fully complete registration to link your account and gain access to the pool and tennis courts.
