Donations for Boy Scouts from pack 62 troop 266

This Saturday morning (10 November 2012) starting around 8:45 AM the Boy Scouts from pack 62 troop 266 will be coming around knocking on doors collecting nonperishable goods to give to the Greer Relief Center. Please put any can goods or dry foods in a box or bag on your front porch if you wish to donate. The Boy Scout resident is Bronson Keating who lives on Banister Court.

 

Annual HOA Meeting Sunday. Proxies Needed.

The annual HOA meeting is this Sunday (September 30th at 6:30 PM) and we still need 80+ proxy votes to form a neighborhood quorum (required by our bylaws to hold the meeting). 2012 Annual Meeting & Proxy

The following Elections (below) will be held and issues discussed at the Annual Silverleaf Homeowner Association Board Meeting on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Please arrive at the Pavilion at 6:30 PM to turn in Proxy (or vote online below), sign up for free assessment drawing, pick up materials, visit with neighbors; the meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. If you are unable to attend please in proxy form online (below). Alternatively, you may fill out the paper version found in the most recent newsletter and provide it to a current board member before the meeting; or, have an attending homeowner bring it to the meeting for you.

Annual Board Meeting Agenda

  • Summary of Current Year’s Accomplishments and Events.
  • Upcoming Pool Deck Renovation / Project.
  • Officer Steve to discuss security.
  • Current financial position and updated budget to actual.
  • Present your Board Members for 2012/2013.
  • Drawing for free $400.00 assessment for the year 2012.  Must be present to win.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Neighbors Hope Cirelli and Anne Roussy are hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Silverleaf Pool Pavilion on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM. Hope Cirelli states, “After losing my mother from breast cancer and having battled it the past year, I decided that I wanted to do my part to raise money to help find a cure.    My sisters, Anne and I are “in it to end it”.   We will be raising money to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer which will take place in New York City on October 20-21, 2012.”

Lighting the neighborhood!

Street captains are busily working the neighborhood to bring you the luminaries.  If you would like to purchase some and have not yet been visited, please email Holly Rushton at hollyrushton@charter.net. Luminary sand has been delivered to the volleyball court at the recreation area.

Luminaries will be lit Saturday, December 24th with a rain date of Sunday, December 25th.  Thank you for supporting the Silverleaf Swim Team!

 

Luminaries for Sale – Update

Thank you to all the homeowners who were able to purchase luminaries from the swim team at the Holiday Market! If you were unable to attend the market, a swim team representative will be by your home during the week of December 4th to take your order.

Luminaries sell for .75 cents each and include a 15 hour votive candle, white paper bag and sand (to be picked up by homeowner from the volleyball court). Cash and check will be accepted (payable to “Silverleaf Swim Team”).

Here’s a guide to determine how many luminaries you will need:

  • Most Lots – 20 to 25
  • Corner Lots – 40 to 50
  • Small Lots – 10 to 15
  • Small Cul-de-sac Lots – 5 to 7
