Neighbors Hope Cirelli and Anne Roussy are hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Silverleaf Pool Pavilion on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM. Hope Cirelli states, “After losing my mother from breast cancer and having battled it the past year, I decided that I wanted to do my part to raise money to help find a cure. My sisters, Anne and I are “in it to end it”. We will be raising money to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer which will take place in New York City on October 20-21, 2012.”
Street captains are busily working the neighborhood to bring you the luminaries. If you would like to purchase some and have not yet been visited, please email Holly Rushton at hollyrushton@charter.net. Luminary sand has been delivered to the volleyball court at the recreation area.
Luminaries will be lit Saturday, December 24th with a rain date of Sunday, December 25th. Thank you for supporting the Silverleaf Swim Team!
Thank you to all the homeowners who were able to purchase luminaries from the swim team at the Holiday Market! If you were unable to attend the market, a swim team representative will be by your home during the week of December 4th to take your order.
Luminaries sell for .75 cents each and include a 15 hour votive candle, white paper bag and sand (to be picked up by homeowner from the volleyball court). Cash and check will be accepted (payable to “Silverleaf Swim Team”).
Here’s a guide to determine how many luminaries you will need:
- Most Lots – 20 to 25
- Corner Lots – 40 to 50
- Small Lots – 10 to 15
- Small Cul-de-sac Lots – 5 to 7

If you are going to be out of town this weekend please arrange for a neighbor to pick up your luminaries. If you have questions, please email swimteam@silverleafgreer.com.
Lighting of the luminaries is a holiday tradition in Silverleaf. It’s an inexpensive and fun way to celebrate the season and highlight our beautiful neighborhood. It is also an important fundraiser for the Silverleaf Swim Team, which serves our young folks. The luminaries are enjoyed by many, both inside and outside the neighborhood. Please help to keep the tradition alive and show your support for the swim team by participating. If you plan to be out of town for Christmas, a neighbor is usually happy to light your luminaries, all you have to do is ask.
The lighting of the luminaries will take place on Christmas Eve night, with a rain date of Christmas night.
Thanks For Your Support!

We are also accepting booth reservations from vendors and artisians outside the neighborhood for a small charge. If you have a friend that would be interested, please let them know as well. Deadline for booth registration will be November 4th. We are looking forward to another great event!
The 2011 HOA Annual meeting was held this evening. The meeting was a success and the drawing for free $400.00 assessment for the year 2011 went to the Roman family (Sara and Jim).
Sadly, it turns out we are still short 20 proxy votes in order to have a neighborhood quorum. Therefore, please take a few minutes to submit your proxy vote online at this URL: http://www.silverleafgreer.com/2011/09/12/2011-annual-hoa-meeting-proxy/
Please disregard this message if you came to the meeting and/or have already turned in your 2011 proxy.
Best Regards,
Silverleaf Board
