I have lived in Silverleaf for four years with my husband and three children. Over the years I have become involved with the Silverleaf Swordfish swim team. I love Silverleaf and would like to become more involved in supporting the Board in keeping it a great neighborhood.

As some of you may have noticed there was some road work done last week on West Silverleaf. Residents have informed the board that there was a water leak under the road and the leak was so vast that the possibility of a sink hole was present. Residents reported seeing a wet spot on the middle of the road for some time and had discussed calling the Greenville Water System. One of the neighbors called, they came out and opened the road to discover that there was a massive leak and the subroad was mud.
The resident has asked that the board inform the rest of the neighborhood of this. If anyone notices a wet spot in the middle of the road on a continued basis, they should contact the Greenville Water System at (864) 241-6000.
It’s that time of year again when we start complaints about outside solicitation activity in our neighborhoods. PLEASE remember to keep your garages closed, and NEVER EVER allow solicitors into your home. In fact, it is best not to give solicitors a chance to make their pitch. As a policy, Silverleaf does NOT allow outside solicitation of any kind and we have signs posted to that effect at both entrances. If an outside solicitor comes to your home, please remind them of our policy and refuse to listen. This is NOT being mean, it is being SAFE! If you suspect criminal activity, get as much information as possible (descriptions of individual(s), license plates, etc) and call 911!

Good news!! Jeff Goodman has arranged for us to have Silverleaf Swordfish Spirit Nights at the Chick-fil-A on Pelham Rd. each month through December! This is a great way to raise money for our swim team while also taking a night off from cooking.
The next one is next Monday, August 16 from 5:30-7:30.
Hours: Spirit night hours are from 5:30-7:30. During that time Chick-fil-A will have signs at each register encouraging people that are at the store for Spirit Night to put their receipt in the Spirit Night baskets. We always print a receipt for each guest so guests will not have to request a receipt to place in the baskets.
Drive Thru: Please let your Spirit Night guests know that they may support your event even if they cannot come into the restaurant. Your guest may tell the person taking their order in drive- thru that they are there for Spirit Night and our drive-thru staff will place their receipt in a Spirit Night Basket for them.
