Drew Menges’ boy scout troop is having a clothing drive pickup on Sunday, December 12th. If you have clothes you would like to donate, please send Drew Menges an email at menges@charter.net with your name, street address, and phone number. The clothes will be picked up from your house, but only if you send Drew an email at the above-stated address. Please have all of the clothing you are donating in boxes or bags on your front porch or doorstep by 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon. The worn and/or new clothes will be donated to Miracle Hill.
Or feel free to bring the clothes to Silverleaf’s Open Holiday Market between 11am and 3pm this Saturday where Drew Menges’ boy scout troop will be running the Toy/Clothing Drive. The Open Holiday Market will be held under the pavilion (adjacent to the pool) at Silverleaf’s Recreation Center.
The boy scouts will also be helping Silverleaf run a Toy Drive. Silverleaf is asking for new, unwrapped toys that will go to students at Monaview Elementary School, located in Greenville County, where 97% of the students live at or below the poverty level ($22,000 for a family of 4). Monaview parents who are registered to participate will be able to go to the school and choose a toy for their child. Please no TVs, DVDs or electronic gaming systems or games.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
